Recipe Overview
Servings: 4–6
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
1 ½ lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
¼ cup 25-Star Dark Balsamic Vinegar
1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
• Prep the Steak: Pat the steak cubes dry and season with salt and black pepper.
• Sear the Steak: Heat Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak bites in a single layer; sear 2–3 minutes per side until browned but tender. Remove and set aside.
• Make the Sauce: Lower heat to medium. Add minced garlic and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in 25-Star Dark Balsamic Vinegar, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes. Cook 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
• Coat the Steak Bites: Return steak to skillet, tossing to coat in sauce 1–2 minutes.
• Serve: Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with chopped parsley.
Chef’s Tip
Do not overcrowd the pan when searing steak bites; work in batches if needed for perfect caramelization. Let sauce thicken slightly for a glossy finish.
Flavor Variations
• Add sautéed bell peppers or mushrooms before adding sauce for extra texture
• Reduce sauce further for a thicker, sticky coating
• Increase red pepper flakes or drizzle with chili oil for a spicy twist
• Top with shaved parmesan for a nutty finish
• Serve with garlic butter for extra indulgence
Pairings
Pairs beautifully with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, garlic buttered bread, red wine, or crisp white wine. Perfect for game-day bites or elegant appetizer spreads.
Recipe Notes
Best served immediately while warm. The sauce can be prepared ahead and reheated gently. Adjust red pepper flakes to taste for mild or spicy flavor.
