My customers always ask how long I've been selling balsamic vinegar and olive oil—and how I got started. Pacific Northwest Specialties began in Sherwood, Oregon in 2003. After closing my garage storage business, I was pulled into the world of premium balsamic vinegars and flavored olive oils—thanks to a friend whose farmers market booth always had a line. One taste was all it took. People were instantly hooked.

I started selling in California, but life on the road quickly took its toll. Missing my family, I returned to Oregon for what I thought would be a steady, long-term job. After nearly a decade in a soul-crushing 9-to-5, I had a realization: life is too short to spend it doing work you don’t love. When my friend called, I knew it was time to return to what I was truly passionate about.

I went all in—farmers markets, home shows, specialty events—and sales grew fast. But one problem remained: I was building someone else’s business, not my own. That had to change. So my wife, friends, and I began testing flavors, refining recipes, and dialing in every detail. We didn’t stop until we found balsamic vinegars and olive oils that were truly exceptional—better than anything we had offered before.

That’s how Pacific Northwest Specialties was born. Today, we offer an ever-growing lineup of bold, unique flavors—from exceptional white and dark balsamic vinegars to premium olive oils designed to make everyday meals unforgettable.
