Mango White Balsamic Fish Tacos with Crisp Slaw
Mango White Balsamic Fish Tacos
Description
These white fish tacos are fresh, savory, and easy to make. Mango White Balsamic adds gentle sweetness and balance, while Tuscan Herb Olive Oil provides a savory backbone and Persian Lime Olive Oil adds a clean, bright finish. A crisp slaw brings everything together with a balanced sweet heat that you can build gradually to your preference.
Recipe Overview
Servings: 4
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
1½ pounds halibut or cod, cut into large chunks
2 tablespoons Tuscan Herb Olive Oil
1 tablespoon Persian Lime Olive Oil
1 teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste)
½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
½ teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
8–12 small corn or flour tortillas
Slaw:
3 cups shredded green cabbage
½ cup shredded red cabbage
¼ cup thinly sliced red onion
¼ cup chopped cilantro
½ cup finely diced fresh mango
¼ cup Mango White Balsamic Vinegar
1 teaspoon Habanero Infused Olive Oil (start light, adjust to taste)
Instructions
• Pat the fish dry with paper towels and season with salt, pepper, cumin, and smoked paprika.
• Heat the Tuscan Herb Olive Oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
• Add the fish and cook 2–3 minutes per side, until just cooked through and lightly browned.
• Remove the pan from heat and drizzle the Persian Lime Olive Oil over the fish, tossing gently to coat.
• In a large bowl, combine the green cabbage, red cabbage, red onion, and cilantro.
• Add the mango, then drizzle the Mango White Balsamic and 1 teaspoon Habanero Infused Olive Oil over the slaw and toss well.
• Taste and build heat gradually if desired — you can always add more, but you can’t take it away.
• Warm the tortillas.
• Assemble the tacos with fish and slaw.
Chef’s Tip
Halibut is firmer and holds together well; cod is lighter and flakes more easily — both work. Persian Lime Olive Oil should be added off heat so it stays clean and bright.
Flavor Variations
• Skip the Habanero Infused Olive Oil for a clean, no-heat version
• Meyer Lemon Extra Virgin Olive Oil — softer citrus finish
• Pineapple White Balsamic — brighter tropical twist
• Add avocado or a light crema for a richer taco
Pairings
Cilantro rice, black beans, grilled corn, or a simple side salad.
Recipe Notes
This recipe is designed to show how Mango White Balsamic works in savory, fresh dishes. It adds sweetness and balance without turning sugary. Building heat gradually keeps the dish clean, controlled, and flavorful.
