Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

4 ripe but firm pears, halved and cored
1½ tablespoons Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil
¼ cup Pear White Balsamic Vinegar
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional garnish: vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, chopped nuts, or cinnamon

Instructions

• Preheat oven to 400°F.

• Place pear halves cut-side up in a baking dish.

• Drizzle evenly with Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

• Roast for 25–30 minutes until pears are tender and lightly caramelized.

• Remove from oven and drizzle Pear White Balsamic evenly over the warm pears.

• Return to oven for 3–5 minutes until the balsamic becomes glossy and lightly reduced.

• Remove from oven, drizzle with vanilla extract, and serve warm.

• Finish with optional ice cream, whipped cream, nuts, or cinnamon before serving.

Chef’s Tip

Add the balsamic near the end of roasting so it stays bright and fruit-forward instead of reducing too heavily or becoming overly sweet.

Flavor Variations

• Butter Olive Oil — richer dessert profile
• Meyer Lemon Extra Virgin Olive Oil — brighter citrus finish
• Fig Dark Balsamic — deeper, more decadent finish
• Add toasted walnuts or pecans for texture

Pairings

Serve with vanilla ice cream, mascarpone, whipped cream, shortbread cookies, toasted walnuts, or pecans.

Recipe Notes

Pear White Balsamic keeps this dessert clean and fruit-forward, allowing the natural sweetness of the pears to remain the focus without becoming heavy or overly rich.
