Chocolate Balsamic Glazed Pork Chops

A decadent twist on classic pork chops, featuring a rich and tangy chocolate balsamic glaze.


Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or brown sugar)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme (optional garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Season the Pork Chops:

    • Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. Sear the Pork Chops:

    • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Glaze:

    • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium.
    • Add the chocolate balsamic vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic.
    • Stir and simmer for 3-4 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
  4. Glaze and Cook:

    • Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the glaze over them.
    • Cook for another 5-7 minutes, flipping occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  5. Serve:

    • Transfer the pork chops to plates and drizzle the remaining glaze over the top.
    • Garnish with fresh thyme if desired.

Pair with creamy mashed potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts, or a simple green salad for a balanced meal.
